David Morris Photography

David Morris Photography's studio and gallery is an eclectic mix of old and new, from the brick walls and wood beam ceilings, to the modern kitchen, to the state of the art digital imaging equipment. The world class studio and gallery was designed by nationally known Junk Architects to enhance our clients comfort and photographic experience.

Close to several world class hotels with easy access to both I-35 and I-70 our historic 6000 sq. ft. studio and gallery is located in Kansas City's Crossroads Art District near downtown, the area is filled with art galleries, shops, bars and some of the best restaurants in the city. Part of the energy of the area is the Crossroad's First Fridays, a monthly extravaganza where the art district comes alive as area shops and galleries hold receptions for their new exhibits. This is a link to a map for directions to the studio.

David Morris Conference Room

While at the studio you can relax in our lounge, work in our conference room, hang out at the kitchen's bar or browse the work of national artists in the gallery. Clients have access to both wired and wireless broadband Internet along with plenty of phones through out the studio. To top it off we'll brew a fresh cup of coffee from our Italian expresso machine for a little pick-me-up.

We have a commercial range with dual convection ovens, six burners, a grill and griddle, a fryer along with plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. There is nearly 200 square feet of working counter space with two sinks and a kitchen bar to watch the stylist at work. Plus the coolest kitchen faucet you have ever seen!

It does not stop in the kitchen, we have over ten thousand plates, platters, bowls and other kitchenware props to choose from. Most of the time we have just the right dish to make your food or product look great.

Studio Exterior

The studio has two separate 50x30 studios with 16 foot ceilings for multiple sets, storage and prop/set construction. Four large skylights and three 10X10ft front windows provide beautiful natural lighting capabilities or we can go to a full blackout studio. Our 12X20 foot strobe light can handle 28,000 watt seconds of power for those large sets and we have a variety of strobe and hot lights for almost any project.

Our equipment ranges from 35mm to 11x14 cameras along with digital SLRs, digital large format backs and in-house digital retouching, scanning and proofing. For large productions lighting crews, set construction crews, producers, location scouts, etc. are all close by.
